JANE ROBSON

Is a qualified and experienced Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer who has worked in a large variety of organisations, from huge Plc’s to small family start-ups, thus showing a perspective of all aspects of business. During her career, she has managed and mentored staff, dealing with all aspects of HR, and has a wide knowledge of health and safety, first aid, and other general business regulatory requirements.

KIRSTY LANDA

Started her working career as a secretary/administrator firstly within the Financial Sector then moved to Law where she decided that she enjoyed and wished to progress her knowledge and career and qualified as a Property Lawyer to enable this. Kirsty worked within the legal sector for some 14 plus years before then deciding to change tack completely wherein she began to run Student Accommodation for 8 years and progressed to Area Manager over several sites for a further 2 years before again deciding to change the course of her career.

JANE ROBSON

Is a qualified and experienced Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer who has worked in a large variety of organisations, from huge Plc’s to small family start-ups, thus showing a perspective of all aspects of business. During her career, she has managed and mentored staff, dealing with all aspects of HR, and has a wide knowledge of health and safety, first aid, and other general business regulatory requirements.

Jane started in the FCA compliance sector, working for banks and insurance providers at a senior management level, but moved into more education and qualifications-related compliance in 2010. She has vast experience in liaising directly with the Regulators themselves, building relationships and enhancing the reputation of the companies she has been employed by. Jane has also delivered many training workshops on compliance subjects such as Complaints Handling, Data Protection, Conflicts of Interest, and Anti-Money Laundering, to name but a few.

One of the highlights of Jane’s career since starting JKTBS has been her involvement in the National Association of Licensed Paralegals (NALP), with whom she has been working since 2016. Her initial role as consultant grew to taking up the reins as Director of Compliance and, in 2022, CEO — all still on a consultancy basis. During her tenure, she has been on various legal and educational forums, been part of the trailblazing groups for the redesign of the Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship and the new Level 5 Advanced Paralegal Apprenticeship, building relationships with other legal regulators as well as educational colleagues, such as with BARBRI and Mindful Education Ltd.

Whilst Jane has now taken a step back from NALP to concentrate more on JKTBS, particularly following the passing of Kirsty, she continues to be closely involved in NALP’s strategy and growth for the future and is their Responsible Officer.

KIRSTY LANDA

She went on to work as an Estate agent part-time and also continued to work with JK Total Business Solutions for a further 2 years before making the switch to the National Association of Licensed Paralegals to tie in her role with JK Total Business Solutions.

During her career she has learned not only the aspects of law and property but also those of Health and Safety, DBS Compliance, management and mentoring of staff at all levels, she has also worked alongside Unipol and various institutes and workforces. Kirsty moved to Egypt in April 2023, a country she loved, but continued to work remotely. She died suddenly and unexpectedly on 24th September 2023.

After Kirsty’s sudden passing in September 2023 JK will continue on but will always miss her professionalism integrity as well as the strong friendship that Jane held so dear.
