Jane’s organisational skills are exemplary. Her ability to manage a range of tasks/reviews/activities/management of staff at any one time was prodigious. Her grasp of key issues and oversight across a range of areas dealing with colleagues at all levels from entry staff to Board Members to external stakeholders was outstanding. Further this was always exercised with good humour and professional respect. This required the exercise of Jane’s ability to be confidential, diplomatic and effectively and appropriately treat sensitive information. This was always achieved. One of Jane’s particular strengths was the ability to understand, assimilate and explain complex governance and regulatory material – and particularly the implications of it – in a clear, accessible and non-technical way which allowed all colleagues to both understand and appreciate the significance of this. This also allowed the effective implementation of this as required. Finally, Jane had a particular strength in terms of facilitating effective change and developing commercial advantage. Jane was able to bring her compliance and qualification experience but also her technical expertise together to look beyond ‘simple’ compliance in a literal sense for the benefit of both the organisation and customers.
